Further work on building Day Care

The month of August passed by quickly, but not the building. Still, the work is continuing. To build in Nepal is not that easy, because everything is done by hand. Also, this month was the start of all festivals, so a lot of workers didn’t show up. Of course, there are always reasons not to work here!

The monsoon really started in August. This means a lot of rain, and this is also very difficult to work in.

Ram held a meeting on the 20th of August, to encourage and motivate the contractor and workers to continue their work. The building will only be finished after Dashain. This year the main festival will be very early. From the 25th of September onwards, all official instances will be closed for 10 days, so everybody will have holiday!

The first door was inaugurated on the 21th of August. A priest prayed and asked for blessings. Normally they have to offer an animal with this ritual, but the Gods are also satisfied with a fresh coconut!!!
