Report Buffalo Project

Hereby we would like to thank Mr. Toulemonde & Association of D.E.P.A.R.T.S. Micro-credit for your yearly contribution to our micro-credit buffalo project!

All beneficiaries from the last project are paying back their loan to QOLN. They are all doing well. Through your help, many families in Sarangkot can survive now with having this buffalo and selling some milk or ghee (clarified butter).

We like to give you an example of a family that is helped by you. Below you can see some photos of the buffalo of BHARAT THAPA. He has to take care of his father and mother, his wife and 3 daughters. After many years of working in remote areas in Nepal, Bharat came back home. He is a labour worker, so doesn’t have a job everyday. Only in harvesting time, he will be able to work more for other farmers. At that time he earns not more then 50 euro per month! Now he is taking care of his buffalo (who gave a baby) and his family has milk from it. His wife is selling some of the milk, which gives a little bit of money to buy other things like food & medicine.
This buffalo is really helping Bharat and his family. The girls are still small (between 2,5 and 9 years) so they need milk to grow up.
